Michael Symon, who already appears on — take a deep breathe — “Iron Chef America,” “Cook Like an Iron Chef,” “Food Feuds,” and various other Food Network shows while running Lola, Lolita, B-Spot, and Roast, will get yet another gig.

As ABC announces the cancellation of “One Life to Live” and “All My Children,” the network announced a new show: “The Chew.”

Via MSN:

“The Chew,” which will premiere in September 2011, focuses on food as a source of joy, health, family ritual, friendship, breaking news, dating, fitness, weight loss and travel. The hosts include Mario Batali (Food Network’s “Iron Chef America”), entertaining expert Clinton Kelly (TLC’s “What Not to Wear”), Carla Hall (Bravo’s “Top Chef”); Michael Symon (“Iron Chef America”) and nutrition expert Daphne Oz.

So… “The View” with food?

Vince Grzegorek has been with Scene since 2007 and editor-in-chief since 2012. He previously worked at Discount Drug Mart and Texas Roadhouse.

  1. Great PR for Cleveland. They should come here and do reality TV in the heart of a great melting pot of ideas, culture and characters.

  2. “ClevelandaMUSEing”: thats a terrible idea.

Cleveland is a “melting pot” of bad roads, bad schools, and even worse politicians.

  3. I agree with T13! And the reality show will never happen, because the crooked politicians will ruin it trying to get kick backs from it!

  4. Hey Gang, and T13 I saw you food truck comment (so you do believe in positive Cle.)…If we live here and want things to change for the better, complaining without action or positive thinking will get us nowhere fast. It’s all baby steps.

  5. Cleveland aMUSEing….sure i believe in “postive CLE”, but it seems hopeless here. “Baby steps”? Clevelands one of the oldest cities in the midwest, how long does it need to take?

one of the main problems to me is that whenever someone wants to do something “postiive” here, its usually geared towards people who(yuppies) are in higher tax brackets than the rest of Cleveland.. Why doesnt Tremont have any “regular people” places to grab a bite to eat? i mean like a real diner? WITHOUT 12$ “appletinis” or any of that other bullshit?

How bout regular food trucks, ya know, that serve plain old tacos, good and inexpensive? i mean, the regular brother on the street really doesnt wanna try a goat cheese taco with etc etc etc…

Every”new” “postitive” thing thats tried here, is based on some “flash in the pan” cornball Hollywood idea. The old standards stick. The new cornball ideas have 50 layers of paint beneath them, because they never last.
