In past years, we’ve promoted Scott Baltusnik’s Mud and Grass Volley-Dodgeball Tournament in our Night & Day section, calling it a “muddy good time.” But this year, we think we’ll pass on the mud-caked keg stands. After hearing identical complaints from a service dog charity and the Cleveland Fire Department (see second item) that Baltusnik stiffed them on promised charity proceeds, it doesn’t exactly seem like this event is on the up and up.
After Punch first reported on accusations from charity WAGS4Kids that Baltusnik stiffed them an estimated $19,000 (see second item), we noted a strange disclaimer on the event’s registration form this week: “No refunds will be issued; all fees/charges will be considered a contribution to the charity.” This despite the fact that this year’s tourney had no charity listed…

Tick, tick, tick…….. did the attorney general find you yet Scott? You can ignore the phone calls and inquiries from all the news teams but when the Dann scandal is cleared up and the new general rights the office, it will be interesting to see what they think about you ripping off charities. You will be the mud then. Bump, set, splat on your face. I hope you never need a service dog.
Ps. I’m still waiting for my $2,000.00 check for my weekend services to you from last years event. I bill my professional service time at $125.00/hour x 16 hours.
Shame on you Scott. As the mother of one of those children with a disability who has a service dog… you’ll never know what my son’s dog has done for him. We’ll never be able to thank WAGS4Kids enough for everything they’ve done for us – FREE! They depend on people like you to pay it forward, not steal from those who do good things.

Scott – I sure hope you come clean with the money and soon. I am fine with you making money sponsoring these events but not by fooling people into thinking they are helping worthy charities. My daughter has benefited so much from her dog Max (provided free of charge) to her this past January from WAGS4Kids. Saying Max has changed her life for the better is an understatement! I truly hope you see the light and do the right thing by providing the charities you scammed an accounting and the funds promised them.
Scott I can’t believe you can even show your face in Cleveland. What a disgrace you are. As a mom to one of the children that received a dog (free I might add), I can’t begin to tell you of the good work Wags4Kids does. Murphy was placed in our home in November and he has made such a difference in my daughter’s life. Thank God you don’t have a child with a disability. God only knows how you would treat them.

with my daughter (FREE OF CHARGE), Wags-4-Kids was heaven sent to us this dog was the best thing for my daughter. How will another child get to be so lucky to get one of these dogs when it comes to a ripoff artist like yourself! I wonder if the I.R.S. knows you yet? They might real soon.

There are a lot of great rec sports teams out there that like to have a good time AND don’t mind being involved in an outing that has some community give back. That’s how this guy has succeeded in bringing in the bucks! WHAT A DISGRACE! This guy ought to be arrested for stealing money that was intended for charity. Anyone check out that business of his? Where did that money go? I am sure there are a lot of volleyballers out there that are mad as hell too! Dude…you ripped off KIDS! Shame on you! I hope you get what you deserve…and I hope it comes with handcuffs.

I believe the only fact that has come out of this situation is that the media has WAY TOO MUCH INFLUENCE ON EVERYONE! How can a tournament that is scamming everyone, stay alive for 22 years? Greed is certainly the main cause of this disaster, but i believe the greedy allegations are directed at the wrong man. The greed I’m refering to should be directed towards a corrupted woman in charge of the charity Wags4Kids. I believe this woman realized the large publicity she could attract by creating false accusations against an innocent man. The plan is simple. All she needed to do was put a couple physically handicapped children on the news and tell them it was scott baltusnik’s fault that the charity is doing poorly, even though they’ve always done poorly because they’re run by a poor director. The simple fact is that nothing at all has been proven, yet people automatically assume he’s guilty because they saw a sad handicapped child on the news. What kind of primitive barbarian would betray an organization devoted to helping their cause? Don’t let the media or a corrupted woman tell you what to believe.
