  1. Cam Newton carries the banner of the anti-hero. But he has a long way to go to top controversial – and iconic – champions like Jimmy Connors, Carl Lewis, Bill Johnson, Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey and Muhammad Ali…..who were polarizing figures that transcended sports.
