The hottest accessory this season is a symbol of our eroding democracy around your neck: a gerrymandered district necklace.

That’s thanks to a new line called Gerrymander Jewelry, which features six of our beautiful country’s more insanely carved Congressional districts. The Ohio 1st is included, which is sure to be a point of pride for Buckeyes far and wide.

From the product description:

A diamond is forever, but a district lasts a decade.

Like two pieces of a puzzle that don’t fit together, this necklace or pin features OH-1, which for no logical reason except to keep Republicans in office, tacks on the Republican-heavy Warren County.

The necklaces run $195 and are part of a campaign by OMGWTF.VOTE, a nonprofit that supports Democrats in various statewide elections.

Steve Chabot has repped the 1st since 2011, and benefitted from Ohio Republicans’ decision, after the 2010 Census, to tack on GOP-heavy Warren County to the district. Chabot faces off against Democratic candidate Aftab Pureval in the November election.
