Cleveland has graced just. about. every. major publication’s list of top destinations to visit in 2015, and today, it seems, we’ve wiggled our way on one more.
The New York Times released this morning its list of 52 Places to Go in 2015 and Cleveland rings in at number 21.
Via the NYT:
A comeback fueled by art, culture and King James. There you have it. Cleveland rocks. When LeBron James decided to return to his roots, Cleveland was already rallying after decades of decline. A milelong stretch of Detroit Avenue is now the Gordon Square Arts District, the city’s newest creative hub. Waterfront warehouses are being transformed into restaurants and retail spaces. And the recent reopening of the Museum of Contemporary Art in a modern mirrored, hexagonal structure has solidified the Uptown district’s newly hip status. Another reason to visit this year? To beat the politicos who will descend on the city for the 2016 Republican National Convention. INGRID K. WILLIAMS

Little Italy, the buildings are cleaned and look new. Must be an old picture.
^^^^ SOME PEOPLE
if there’s a crappy pic of Cleveland, this would be it…
If you put makeup on a pig, you still have a pig
But if you transform the “pig”, like Cleveland has, you end up with some of the best bacon (people), tenderloin (arts), and chops (entertainment).
