For speaking with Scene about their son-in-law Larry Zaslov’s swindling ways [“Smooth Criminal,” May 30], Diane and Butch Legarth are now facing eviction.
When the couple filed for bankruptcy a few years ago, Zaslov “graciously” offered to buy back his in-law’s house for them at a sheriff’s auction – using their money, of course. For years, Zaslov kept promising to turn the title over to Diane and Butch, but never got around to doing it –despite the fact that the Legarths were paying all the mortgage payments.
When the story came out last Wednesday, Zaslov called the couple multiple times throughout the night with threatening messages. “You’re going to pay,” he told them. On Thursday, he said they were being evicted.
“The nightmare never ends,” Legarth sobs. — Rebecca Meiser

Are the Legarths stupid, You say things about someone who owns your house and then you expect he is going to let you live there ?
I have never had an opportunity to read this newspaper before as I don’t frequent the type of places that one would find it. However since I know the parties involved I decided to read your little rag of a newspaper only to find what I suspected that it’s full of crap. Not only is the article poorly written; it is full of several factual errors. At my last count it was up to 10. I suggest Ms. Meiser go back to journalism school and actually study this time. I have never read such a one sided, slanted piece of garbage in my life. I’m sure Ms. Meiser can back up all her facts. Like how a man can be behind on child support when his divorce is not yet finalized. Being the excellent “reporter” that she is I’m sure her Pulitzer Prize is on it’s way. It should be enough for me to know that what was written isn’t true but the rest of your readers don’t and that’s what bothers me.
