Update: Fitting news update given the feature story in last week’s issue of Scene…

Alexa Nasonti, a 25-year-old former teacher at Norwalk High School who was fingered for sleeping with a student, finally gave in a pleaded guilty. She’s looking at a max of five years in the slammer for the felony, but the prosecutor will review a pre-sentence investigation and will ask for up to 18 months if the report recommends jail time.

  1. Maybe he turns 18 in a few weeks. Is it still illegal? Have no idea what laws say about consenting adults when it’s highschool student and teacher.

  4. Fantastic. Way too much of this garbage going on, especially with very young teachers still in their mid 20’s. Maybe we can stop hiring horny idiots?

  5. And @Paul, it’s still illegal, no matter how close to 18 they are. As long as they are under 18, if inappropriate funny business was going on, then this teacher will be in even more trouble. Regardless of the age, schools consider it a huge no-no when teachers start shacking up with students. It’s quite the career killing move for a teacher.

  6. Oh, and one more while I’m at it. If you flush a toilet, you can hear this girl’s teaching career and the last 6 or so years spent in college and graduate school going down the drain. Money well spent.
