  1. This deal should go better than the high-profile swap the Browns made for a Giants wide receiver in January 1970. To fill the void left when the spectacular Paul Warfield was traded to the Miami Dolphins, the club dealt defensive lineman Jim Kanicki, linebacker Wayne Meylan and running back Ron Johnson for speedster Homer Jones. After a rough training camp, Jones was relegated to third string WR and special teams. His only electrifying moment was returning a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown during the season opener — the first Monday Night Football game. He retired after the season.

  2. OBJ better enjoy the honeymoon. Cleveland fans are fickle. Especially when youre a Black superstar. Now if youre white, is, Bernie Kosar, youll get a lifetime pass no matter what you do (or dont do).

Now if youre white, ie., Kevin Love, Jim Thome or Bernie Kosar and you’ll get a free pass no matter what you did (or didnt do). LeBron, Albert Bell might as well have been journeymen compared to those three.
