The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles has unveiled a silly new cartoon mascot — a license plate complete with, oh yes, hands, eyeballs and sneakers. However, the cute, but unnecessary, little guy/gal still needs a name.

Today, the department tweeted that they need the public’s help in coming up with the proper moniker. But they had one stipulation: “Only appropriate names will be considered.”

So far, Twitter user Mike deCourcy’s ridiculous suggestion of Platey McPlate Face is our favorite.

What ideas, appropriate or otherwise, do you have?

  1. Taggy McShoes…

And he looks suspiciously like a cousin of Canny and Baggy, the recycling mascots from back in the day.

And the “Mc” because he looks sorta Scottish. Didn’t 3-M have a Scotsman cartoon character for Scotch Tape many years ago?

Was he called Angus McPlaid? He was like Willie on the Simpsons. Even sounded the same. And I am not making this shit up. Not a smoke dream. Can somebody help me out?
