DeWine, who made the rounds on the political morning shows today, appearing on NBC’s Meet The Press in addition to CNN has been out ahead of almost any public official in the country when it comes to COVID-19 response, closings, mandates and other measures to slow down the fatal virus. He was the first governor in the country to mandate his state to close all schools.
The governor also told NBC News “we are certainly looking at” closing bars and restaurants in the state.
Said DeWine: “We are inconveniencing people. It is making people’s lives change, but we have got to save lives. Everything we are doing is to save lives.”

If you’re going to close the bars, Gov, do it TODAY. Leaving them in operation on the busiest day of the year, March 17, is a recipe for catastrophe.
Read your history. Philadelphia held a patriotic parade in 1918, despite being advised not to do so. Within three days, over 2,500 citizens died. The death toll eventually reached 15,000 there…the worst of any city, anywhere. Don’t allow history to repeat itself here.
Yeah, yeah…there’s no parade, thank God…but downtown Cleveland will be come a giant petri dish and Cleveland will once again make world headlines for all the wrong reasons if you let the festivities go on like it’s business as usual. It’s NOT.

He should also close all of the day care and pre schools, they are also giant petri dished and your putting all of the child care workers and their families at risk. The infants and the pre school children can’t ake care of themselves, the teachers are down at their level being sneezed on and coughed on. We are suppose to keep 3 feet away. Why are these babies not important to him, they are at risk more than the K- 12 group and the college kids.
If they start closing restaurants and bars it will just cause more panic. I think the news and politicians are really starting to panic people. People should be able to decide for themselves if they are healthy enough to go out. Just think about this. They always talk about the number of deaths but not the number of survivors. Why is that? Because they have no idea how many people have had the virus and recovered with no problems.

Close the Malls as well. I manage a global team and when they closed the schools in Italy, my managers were reporting that everyone (kids/teens) were hanging at the malls. Quit calling it pass through places and close them down now. I have been dealing with this for 8 weeks with my team around the world and this sticks out to me. The economy is already impacted and malls are a rare breed/ old thought these days, close them.

I am now seeing EU considering blocking borders from country to country. Well our states are the size of a lot of countries there and I see this coming next.

Not just the malls…the idiots in Florida are allowing the spring breakers to keep partying through next weekend. Then they can all get on planes and into cars and come back up North and infect their parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles. Florida wants to keep taking the money they’re spending. Also doesn’t want to piss them off or they might not come back again. CLOSE the goddam beaches, and if they try to party there, put them in cattle trucks and dump them off in Georgia and let them walk home.
