Taunt a police officer, get in trouble. Taunting a police dog is apparently a no-no, as well.

Cops in a Cincinnati suburb charged 25-year-old Ryan Stephens with teasing a police pup. An officer was working a crash scene near a bar when he heard his faithful K-9 companion barking. He returned back to the car to investigate, only to find Stephens barking at the dog through the window of the cop car.

When the officer asked Stephens, who appeared intoxicated according to the police report, why he was barking at the dog, the suspect responded, “The dog started it.”

  1. What’s illegalwith about trying to communicate with a K-9 in its own language? Cops are supposed to be trained to ignore comments that would be otherwise considered offensive to regular people.

Will the prosecutor argue that barking at a dog hurt the feelings of the canine? Why hire a dog as a police dog that will be offended by someone who barks at it? Should I be offended when a police dog bark at me at stop light ( It happened several times before) ?
Should the dog be suspended from barking at an innocent bystander?

    Gimme a break
