When the going gets tough, the tough drink. That appears to be the takeaway from news that Ohio set yet another record for liquor sales, with residents of the Buckeye state spending an ungodly sum of $754 million on booze last year.

What can we say? We’re thirsty. And bored. And depressed. And we’re definitely funnier when we drink.

  1. The state needs to get out of the liquor business. Governments should not be “in business”. It is for the private sector in a free market economy.
