One person was killed and at least two more injured following a reported shooting outside The Bank Nightclub on Euclid Ave., close to East 4th. Witness reports have the shooting taking place at 2 a.m., though police have not confirmed any details.


Scene is awaiting response from the Cleveland Division of Police; we’ll update as we learn more. 


On a seemingly unrelated note, two 17-year-old boys were shot on East 140th and Edgewood last night. They were both taken to MetroHealth Medical Center; one of the boy was listed in critical condition this morning.

  3. I think the news reporting agencies can really just cut and paste at this point.

    A (14-28) year old (black) male was shot and killed on Cleveland East side in the early morning hours today…

    never Chinese but there are the same numbers of them. Or Porto Rican or even White males even though there are many more in number. Sooooooooooooo what gives? GW Bush’s fault I suppose.

    I’ll tell you one thing. Why, if it is so dangerous, are people out past 11:00 P.M. ? Want to change your life in just two easy steps? Go to college and or high school and go to bed after 11;)) p.m. like most people do.

  4. This has got to stop! Look what happened to the old East Bank of the Flats – shootings, fights, thugs, etc. = NO MORE CUSTOMERS – NO MORE BUSINESS! I hope the businesses in Gateway ban together and make this area safe again no matter what it takes even a private Security Force and police presence (on foot, in car and on horseback) is increased dramatically. It’s time for STOP and FRISK in Cleveland.

  5. This is how places get a reputation for being unsafe, and you start getting people that don’t want to go there anymore. Sure there are great places that are fun to visit and patronize, but when you run the risk of getting shot and killed (or even being around to witness or hear something like that), then it just becomes no longer worth it. Hopefully all of this nonsense gets cleaned up fast, before a negative reputation permanently sets in.

Just for all u ppl talking shit this was a guy a knew very close that night I lost a brother u don’t know what happened that night and why they did it so keep Ur thoughts to yourself and for the guy that posted the pic of the blood on the ground wtf wrong with you what if that was the scene of your loved ones u wouldn’t want to see that. Have some of respect before u talk and do things on the not knowing wtf happened that night
