Not only is Roger Daltrey of the Who coming to perform his band’s seminal rock opera Tommy in its entirety, as previously reported, but the one and only Yo-Yo Ma and Audra McDonald are also coming to brighten up some summer evenings. On top of that, expect showings of Star Wars: A New Hope, Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Singin’ in the Rain with the orchestra providing the music. Concerts run July 3 through Sept. 2.
This year, the orchestra is also bringing in food truck options as well as commissioning a Lego model to be on display for special events. As usual, bringing your own picnic basket and blanket is highly encouraged and anyone under 18 gets in free with a paying adult.
