Patricia Heaton, actress and brother of longtime PD scribe Michael Heaton, was a guest on “The Chew” with Michael Symon yesterday.

As NewsNet5 helpfully points out, the episode was largely Cleveland-centric. Polish boys were on the menu (mmm… Polish Boys) and the two native Clevelanders talked Forest City throughout the segment.

When it came to fry the fries, Heaton had this to say:


“I like all the lard and the oil. It’s very Cleveland. People from Cleveland try to get to a heart attack as soon as possible, just to get them out of Cleveland. My favorite image of people in Cleveland is an overweight person shoveling snow with a cigarette in their mouth.”

Wait, you don’t say that about Cleveland! Was that a joke? How could she possibly… Oh, nevermind. That’s a pretty good description actually.

    She is the Daughter of Chuck Heaton, sportswriter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
