Here’s Cleveland Browns wide receiver Carlton Mitchell’s new Twitter profile picture.
A couple of thoughts.
1) Let’s not get too worked up over this. Ultimately, it’s a harmless, semi-clever, fruitless statement. Whatever side of the NFL lockout debate you’re on, we can all agree guys like Carlton Mitchell, who doesn’t make much dough and whose career is likely not to change that fact, are hurt by the current labor impasse.
2) Still, Carlton Mitchell has a, ya know, home. Thoughtless bad taste? Eh, perhaps. A dumb symbolic gesture that doesn’t hit home because the premise is so laughable? Yeah, probably.

I bet half those people holding signs by intersections have homes too.
everytime I exit the highway after a 10-12 hour work day to pay for scum that feeds off our tax dollars…i call the police on those bums with signs, i dont want that sh*t in my neighborhood! And they think they are slick like when they see police at exit/the fold that lil cardboard sign up and start walking away, well I keep calling on em, give em the description, and f-em! Hope thay have to pay a fine everytime! Do us all a favor and get in line with the rest at mcDonalds and try your luck there and geta damn job! Hey McDonald’s is claiming in there ad that just after 6 months, you can work your way up to a manager and make more than a teacher!! WTF is wrong with this world,…Oh and back to the story at hand… I never heard of this browns player…but at least he has a sense of humor ,,hard to find if you are misserable, live and play in Cleveland! Godd for him trying to lighten the mood, while others with millions in the bank are crying like lil bit*hes
