Less than two weeks removed from a Las Vegas mass shooting that left more than 50 dead and 500 wounded — the deadliest in modern U.S. history, we’re told — the Cleveland Plain Dealer featured a prominent cover advertisement promoting a “Ruger Days” sale at the Middleburg Heights location of Fin Feather Fur.

Three handguns, all of them Rugers, are visible above the fold on Wednesday’s print issue.

At least one woman, who was in Las Vegas during the shooting, took offense:
