A report out of Europe claims that the US mens national team will be dropping by Cleveland in late May to play Belgium in an international friendly.
That would be good news for Cleveland soccer fans and evidence that Jimmy Haslam and company plan on using the empty, empty stadium for more than a grazing ground for birds when the Browns aren’t playing home games.
Reached by Scene yesterday while he was in New Orleans for the Super Bowl, Browns spokesman Neal Gulkis had “no comment.”
Belgian TV station RTBF and respected newspaper Le Soir claim that the two teams are set to meet for the second time during US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann’s tenure, in Cleveland on May 29.
