Our first reaction on learning the Save the Plain Dealer campaign has a folk song championing the cause: “Oh great, it’s four minutes long.”
And those are some four minutes. “Ink on Paper” doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination. It lists all the reason Alex Bevan needs his Plain Dealer, and subtly hints how bereft life would be without the daily fishwrapper. As good of a cause the campaign might be, “Blowin’ in the Wind,” this ain’t. But that’s cool. About as much effort went into this song as serious thought goes into a Regina Brett column, so go figure.

Now that the election is over I feel better about the main stream media in Ohio. I thought the PD was being controlled by the Dispatch owners in Columbus who have strong ties to the republican party–for over 100years! And then when the social media blog site the PD puts out censored me at every comment I made I decided that they were not worth my time and effort. Even R. Brett stopped returning my compliments…and then when Connie left so that she would not get in a political tug-of-war due to her husband in the fight of his life with this guy named Josh who had more money thrown his way by citizens and other giant lobbyists than maybe even Mitt Romney and Eddie Munster–aka Deer Hunter—aka–Ayn Randed nearly branded a communist cause I’m left handed…that rugged individualist from cheese country who has some of the most fucking absurd ideas I have every heard out of a politician—even a new age republican one…..Anyway. I quit Clevescene also because my rantings were not well received (by the full 20 people who play on this site), so I went to yahoo and I have loved it…like being in a giant social media pool with strangers that don’t know your name or your bio and when they threaten you…you can just tell them to get fucked and not worry that some ass-hole is going to seek revenge for the battered ego which I have become very good at giving out…..
@Kenny Jaeger…. well, well, well, nothing like an over-inflated ego on display. Having demonstrated your vapidness of deep thought, ineloquent analogies and staggering ineptness at not providing even one example to anything you wrote, hopefully you will make an exit from this blog as well, sooner than later. Anyone, that even considered for a heartbeat, that the PD is a conservative rag, needs their wingnut tightened to their shoulders. I’d go on Kenny, but it would be a battle of wits with an unarmed man. Hopefully, you’ll find something better to do than post here, like pissing up a rope.
Hi Joe18750: You still do not like what I write and I still think you say nothing about anything other than your own little angry boy posts….I am avialable for civil debate using other than just attack thinking…Do you have any real thoughts or are you just angry at those who do? Why are you even on this thing? What is your motive? Just to talk like a big shot? It does not work too well for any but a tiny audience of angry little minds….That said. I really would like to try to have meaningful dialog with you and any others who have an interest in communication skills. You do write pretty good, but you don’t say much other than you hate me for thinking I am smart and have things to say of meaning. Please try to see me as just another person who may be of value to you so far as your future is involved and not just an old guy who thinks he is smarter than everyone else. I know it sounds crazy, but I am almost in position to launch an invention that will revolutionize the delivery system’s industry for small and needed items…Believe it or not I have a Patent Pending product that I am soon to be going into mass assembly on. Why tell you? I guess so that my ego can stretch itself out a little on someone who does not believe a thing I say and hates what I say….You are not alone in that respect, Joe. Many guys hate me and would just as soon see me dead and gone…some are even friends and business partners…I am so easy to hate and I know why. Because I am a gifted old guy who has been underground for nearly seven years…And now I am ready to stick my head out a little…and your replys to me make me understand just why I have remained underground for so long….I fear guys, egos like yours…They just seem to get mad at my very existense…why? You know and so do they but they will never admit it…Just try to be honest and ask yourself what you really hate about me…If you can understand why you hate me you may be able to understand that you may see things in me that are in you which you hate as well…that is how it works you know? We hate in others that which we see in ourselves but do not admit to…I am being honest with you about everything even the invention. What reason would I have to lie to you in public and right on this Cleveland site…When I become rich and famous will you still hate me? I hope not. Because if you do so will at least half of the population in Cleveland…You may represent a majority and I might have to realize that half of the people hate me for just saying stuff that is on my mind….It is harder than you may think being me. My only things that I am sure of is: Non-violent protest and communication is the only thing that can change things for the better; and that Forgiveness is a must for non-violence to be meaningful….Don’t just dismiss these truths…even if you dismiss me.
