In a desperate attempt to reunite cigs with their native land — i.e. the bar — Jason Rehs has started an online petition to push for a less restrictive smoking ban in Ohio.
Rehs is asking that smoking to be reinstated at bars, pool halls, bowling alleys, night clubs, and strip clubs. His goal is to get 5,000 signatures. The last time we checked, he had 4,205. Most of them were made anonymously. One was from “Martha Stewart.”
What Rehs plans to do with this petition isn’t exactly clear. Maybe he has a large scale paper maiche project in mind.
Either way, a little false hope never hurt anyone — especially those with massive nicotine addictions. — Denise Grollmus

There is not a lot you can really do with a online petition. This was more to get a good idea of who really cares and who does not. 5,000 signatures is hardly enough to make anything happen. There is a long process to file a initiative to the state. You also have to have signatures from at least 44 of the 88 counties. We also would need at least 3% of the total voting population from the state of Ohio. Which.. equals out to roughly 105,000.
Oh and Denise, whats the world record for largest paper mache?
