This summer, Rock of Ages, the musical that’s been nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will return to the road to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

The all-new production will come to the State Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on June 6. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Set on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip in 1987, the musical follows a small-town girl who meets a big city rocker. Featuring music by acts such as Styx, Poison, Twisted Sister and Whitesnake, the tenth anniversary production will include a “dynamic” new cast.

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
