Scene has been without comprehensive visual arts coverage, and really visual arts coverage at all, for the better part of the last year after Joseph Clark moved on to other ventures. It’s something we know has been lacking, something Scene and Free Times had a long, proud history of covering, and we know the arts community, as rich and diverse and passionate as it is, deserves someone on that beat. (We noted as much in our recent look at the state of Cleveland’s art scene.)

Which is why we’re excited to introduce you to Josh Usmani, who was most recently covering arts for Cool Cleveland. He’s also a working artist, teacher, Clevelander, and all around swell guy. He’ll start later this week as Scene‘s new visual arts editor. Look for him in print and online.

Vince Grzegorek has been with Scene since 2007 and editor-in-chief since 2012. He previously worked at Discount Drug Mart and Texas Roadhouse.
