This week, host Craig Lyndall chats with two of our staff writers, Sam Allard and Eric Sandy, about this week’s news. Along with our feature story on CDCs in Cleveland and the challenges they face on the near East and West sides of town, topics include an increased police presence on Public Square after some violence (the knockout game comes to Cleveland, maybe), how Cleveland’s news really gets filtered through the legislative bodies of both the city and county, and how the news section of the paper will look in the coming weeks and month.

  1. Mr Allard–don’t buy into the head-in-sand Lakewood ostriches who claim that the “knockout game” is media hype/hoax; while it may not be reported as such in Cleveland, it IS real and prevalent in Chicago and St Louis, if people would Google it. Just this last year, two teenagers were sentenced in St Louis for killing an 80-yr old Asian man, not counting the frequent other attacks. So don’t pooh-pooh incidents, even if newspapers don’t call them that (perpetrators use the term, by the way)

  2. @Fedman: Agreed! Every liberal/progressive/leftist that I know tries to convince me that no such “game” exists and that the media attention is being orchestrated by the Fox News Network.
