The open secret in Cleveland — a town that loves to bend the rules into all types of contortions — is that there are some places where you can still smoke, even though you’re not supposed to be able to smoke. Wink wink. Nudge nudge. You know what we’re talking about, pockets of sanity, a free zone from government finger wagging.
But the law is hot to even these junior varsity forms of public disobedience; there was state money set aside to fund investigations into complaints of secret smokers. Was, because this enforcement purse has been clipped from the state’s budget. In the past, the Ohio Department of Health had up to $1.16 million to track down violations last year, but nothing now.

Government=Idiots. Total Fail!
With all the violations out there it should be self-sustaining.
To bad Cuyahoga County isn’t collecting on outstanding real property taxes. I know a person who owes $7,000 in RP taxes. He works every day, yet hasn’t paid a dime on his outstanding tax bill. Since the County is so strapped for funds, why not go after these people?
Ohio should follow the money to who funded the state smoking ban. It was NOT the American Cancer Society, a PRIVATE organization, as they were and are the middle man who profits. Following all to square one, with all the deceits, Ohio could pay off the state debts if it would be honest!
