The sportscasting will run from noon to 7 p.m. tomorrow from the same ad hoc stage outside Wonder Bar, etc., as on the Cavs’ opening night.
It’s going to be a hell of a game — a battle between different stages of team chemistry. It’s also going to be friggin’ cold out there, guaranteeing plenty of on-air teeth-chattering from Dave McMenamin, Brian Windhorst, et al. amid their clutch commentary.
“No matter where we go for live shows, the elements are always an issue,” Rob King, ESPN senior VP, told the News-Herald. “We’ll do whatever makes sense in terms of being where the fans are.”
And, despite the inexplicable freakout on the highways at the faintest glimmer of snow in Cleveland, people around here certainly don’t let a few gusts of wind get in the way of a good time. Expect unadulterated awesomeness downtown tomorrow and expect to partake yourself.
