It’s not hard to believe teaching high school is a tough gig. Not only are you under-paid and -appreciated by society at-large, but you have to deal with kids at their biological worst, before they’ve kick-started the more sophisticated emotions like empathy and understanding, and instead are pretty much in a constant Hobbsian state of primal hormonal upheaval.

Terrible.

Most school employees probably have a lot of weekend ways to cope with the stress of a difficult work environment. Some probably fish, hit the weights, smoke the drugs. But numbering among the proper responses is not making a kill-list and hauling around a handgun — which seems to be what one local high school custodian has done.

According to 19ActionNews, police were called to Strongesville Strongsville high school last Friday. The call said an employee at the school had a gun in his car and a list of targets. By the time police arrived on scene, the suspect was gone. Otherwise, details are in short supply. From the station:

  2. @Frank Burger, that’s a quote from the 19ActionNews material. Good eye, and we noted the error, but don’t point that ire over misuses of the “american language” this way.

  3. sound’s more like an anti Constitutional dictator trying to stir-up a riot. there was no gun, no list no nothing. but these communist are going to side on the err of being complete morons. it sounds more like someone has a hair up their arse for the custodian. there no better way to get a riot started then yelling GUN.?????????

  5. the idea of someone lying about a gun that was never there is disturbing to me. like i said someone cried wolf because they don’t like him, and everyone knows if you yell gun all anti-americans come running fully armed to the teeth with automatic firearms and explosives. you can’t have it both ways. thats why there is a Constitution of the United States. to protect us from comie dictators. no gun no crime. giving false information is a crime, lets wait and see if they bring charges against the person crying wolf. personaly i doubt it.
