A recent study performed by the bug company Terminix revealed that reported cases of bed bugs are up 36 percent in Cleveland from this time last year.
If the results are accurate, Cleveland would rank eighth in the nation for bed bug reports.
Karen Butler, The Director of the Department of Public Health in Cleveland, told 19 Action News that she doesn’t believe the results to be correct, however.
“That reflects the experience of one company,” Butler said. “Here in the city of Cleveland our numbers don’t reflect that type of significant increase.” City numbers show that bed bug reports are down about 20 percent.
That’s quite a discrepancy.
The bottom line, however, is that bed bugs are prevalent in Cleveland, particularly during summer vacation months when people are hosting guests, staying in hotels, and moving from place to place.
“Start looking, start looking everywhere and just be a very vigilant,” Butler warned.
Before climbing into bed, Butler recommends to peel back the sheets, and to look in the cracks and crevices for both the bugs themselves and for the brown spotted trails they leave behind.
Ew.
The upshot of Cleveland’s bed bug conundrum? At least we’re not as bad as Columbus, OH, which ranked fourth in Terminix’s study.

You should have stopped bed bug bites forever if you received right tool today. Bed bug trap with sticky boundary and CO2 bait works, but it may never kill the last bug due to new eggs. If you increase the trap size to bed size (convert your bed into a trap), your easy job is to sleep and exhale CO2 as inaccessible bait to kill bed bugs every night. Stupid methods require you to seek every bed bug and fail if you miss a single one. Right method forces bed bugs to seek you and suicide without survivor. Google “Bed Sized Bed Bug Trap” for the right method how to completely stop bites day and night.
More than 99% bed bugs’ activity is at night and they must crawl to top of bed before biting. Three facts explain why exterminators never had a chance to perform easy job: 1) Most tapes are not sticky enough; 2) Tapes for trapping flies leave residual on skin if you touch it. 3) The patent pending bed sized trap has a special design, so that only bed bugs can touch sticky boundary while people can’t.
Closing window is the most efficient to stop mosquito bites. Sticky barrier is the most efficient to stop bed bugs bites. An idiot may open windows, let mosquitoes fly in, and suffer endless chemical spray and bites. Many people apply similar strategy to kill bed bugs which lay eggs before die. To confirm how easy the right method is, sleep in a bathtub as first night of no more bites and then compare functions of bed sized trap and bathtub.
Why stop with the bed sized bed bug trap? I have patented a house-sized bed bug trap! See, if you use the sticky thing on just the bed-sized trap, the bed bugs can still get into the rest of your house. My patent-pending invention, the house-sized bed bug trap, stops any bed bugs from getting into your entire house!
See, more than 99% of bed bugs have to get into your house before they can get onto your bed and bite you. Your easy job is just to exist in your house and exhale CO2 as inaccessible bait to kill bed bugs at all hours of every day. You’re like a rambo bed bug killing machine, just by existing (with my patent-pending house sized bed bug trap) and breathing!
To confirm how easy this method is, sleep on a park bench, then the ground, then in the backseat of your car, then in Canada, and finally in a boat. Then compare how much more comfortable it is to sleep in your bed inside your house than it is to sleep in any of those other places! WOW! This really works!
