Super Pimp (real name: Mike Toth) has been the master of ceremonies on West Sixth Street for over a decade. (Do read our fabulous 2012 cover story on Cleveland’s famous face — and suit — here.)
So it was only natural that Super Pimp venture out on his own: “I am pumped to announce my own club, The Mixx,” he says. “I knew it was time to have a place with my own flair.”
Starting with a Sundays-only format, The Mixx is taking up residency at the Country Lakes Party Center in Broadview Heights. Why not a location on West Sixth Street? The answer is simple to Super Pimp. “I wanted a getaway from the usual bar scene,” he says. “Most of the time the music is so loud you can’t hear yourself talk. You can’t meet anybody. Its a drunken orgy. The Mixx will have an excitement and energy to the place, but not so much you will be drowned out by it.”
Beyond the vibe, the facility spoke to Super Pimp. “The grounds of this place are incredible.” The split plan format will feature a main room with live music and rotating DJ’s like DJ XCEL. The second room he calls a “quiet room.”
“This area will have a martini bar that will allow guests to have a nice place to sit and have a conversation with live local entertainment,” he says. “We will have the ultimate Sunday Funday. Utilizing the volleyball courts, corn hole boards, the large outdoor covered area, and the huge in-ground swimming pool, Super Pimp is picturing a Vegas style hotel pool party.
And don’t expect to see your basic burgers and dogs grilling outside either. Super Pimp will rotate quality food vendors such as sushi from Shinto, cue’ from Famous Dave’s, and numerous guest food tucks. “It will be the Super Pimp flair you expect. The best food and drink around,” he says.
He has also tapped longtime friend and super bartender Robbie Flair to craft his cocktail menu. For the inside martini bar ,called Suits, Flair has designed six signature cocktails all named after Toth’s dynamic suits. “When customers sit down they will see a picture of me in a suit that corresponds with a martini,” he says.
Robbie Flair will also be a frequent guest bartender at The Mixx as well.
The Mixx has a grand opening scheduled for Sunday, May 4, and the club plans on opening every Sunday around 1 – 2 p.m. during the summer months. And to say Super Pimp is pumped is an understatement — “This is my signature here. It will allow me to go out there and be me. People are really gonna have a good good time.”

Do you mean a “quiet room”?
I believe you meant to type “quiet room”…
I hope this place flops
Can’t wait to never go here.
When will the “Kardashian Fame” fad end? (being famous for pathetically trying to get attention without talent)…the Cleveland media should have a better handle on shaping the city’s reputation. Superpimp? C’mon. If a writer pitched the idea of a guy named Superpimp to a Hollywood studio, they would have been immediately fired for being an unoriginal hack…in 1978!!! Until someone steps up and does something original, I will continue to get e-mails with links to this embarrasing crap from my co-workers who are from less humilating parts of the country.
Open once a week for the worst kind of people who have nothing important to do on Monday mornings that they can go to a club on Sunday night…. retarded
Super Pimp keeping that pimp hand strong!
Everyone is so negative. Keep your comments to yourselves people. What do you care what this man wants to do with his life, just let him be!
Who knows…Broadview Heights may become the party destination of northeast Ohio — until the mayor and city council find out about it on May 4th.
I’m truthfully very excited. It sounds like a Far cry from the bar district of downtown CLE (which I can’t even stand to frequent anymore due to crowds and the douchebag atmosphere). And I actually like having Sunday fundays. I don’t work a 9-5 like a lot of people so it will be fun to get out and live it up a little! I hope there’s gonna be volleyball leagues! Good Job, Mr. Toth!
Volleyball swimming pool and good food I’m in
I knew this guy as Money Mike. Which I think I prefer.
TO all the negative people that comment go crawl back into your world please but for the people that know Mike give him credit on having the foresight to take on a business in today’s economic times ! This will give you an opportunity to catch some fun in the sun sorta like before the Browns season starts Sept 5th !Good luck Mike! I opened up Club Coconuts in the Flats you try buddy !I will spread the word in Columbus Ohio and your true friends will come remember this BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME ! I CAN wait to try one of those suit drinks by Robbie!take care & good luck jj!
This is awesome!!! Live YOUR dream and let haters hate!!!
A very sincere thank you to all who took the time to post a positive & kind comment. Myself & my team have, & will continue to work hard to bring a great place for all to enjoy. See you at ‘The Mixx’ !
In a world were everyone wants so desperately to fit in and be completely unoriginal having Super Pimp in our awesome city makes it that much more dope. I don’t normally dress up but when I do I go Money Mike on that s***
Sounds like a can’t miss.
Sincerely,
Bob Golic
I’ll call Jon Taffer now and give him directions to Broadview Hts. to save you the time.
Can’t wait to see you on “Bar Rescue” this season!!!!
Sounds like a really cool place. Be blessed in your new business.
Bunch of haters, like any of you fucking losers can afford to own and market a business
Everyone knows I’m opening a club called “Remixx” in Seven Hills (an actual party town unlike Broadview Heights) and collaborating with a REAL Cleveland legend….Jim, the Mall Guy to make sure it meets his specifications…as no one parties like that dude. Have fun with your knockoff bar Toth. Get a new act…one trick pony.
Will patrons be permitted to urinate and defecate in the pool? I heard Hard Rock in Vegas is implementing something like this for Rehab Sundays. Since this will be like Vegas, you should hop on this trend now.
If you haters are not interested, stay home…Its another option on sundays other than shooters or wiskey island where you cannot enjoy water other than from a squirt gun….Stay home haters!
Stating an reasonable opinion is not “hating”. To all the commenters who think it is, I dare you to try the following experiment:
1) Contact anyone who lives outside of NE Ohio, (or who travels outside of NE Ohio often)
2) Tell him or her that there is a guy named “Superpimp” being profiled by the Cleveland media
3) When they say “That’s a really generic name. What does he do?”, explain that he wears bright suits and smiles at people. He does not sing, act, tell jokes, rap, write, or play any sport. There is no talent involved.
(they will say things like “People do that in this city too…you’re telling me the media covers those people in Cleveland?! No way!”
This is not hating. It’s science.
If you feel embarrassed after the experiment (you will), there is hope. Send them links to Mike Polk Jr, who is SUPER talented and represents what Cleveland could be known for. The opposite of this.
Toth is a poor man’s “Tony Tag” from Chicago. Look him up…Tony at least plays guitar and has a Ferrari. What does this “Superpimp” guy do? Wear rayon suits and a career as a professional eyebrow flutterer? I’ll admit that his extreme orange complexion is the shit, but what else? Nothing. He was just on twitter recently begging for a free ride downtown. Hey Mike…fix your car before you buy a bar…err…catering center.
Congrats mike
I’m so excited. If you need bartenders I would love to work for ya, either way I’ll be there. Your a great guy, and good luck I know it will be a succes, you have always supported everyone with everything they have done. You have a great team behind you, and for the negativity just keep smiling like you have been for years. So proud, stay positive.
Love always the one and only crazy Lovely red head

A.K.A CLEVELAND’S BARBIE
Mike is a very nice man and just enjoys life. Is there something wrong with being known in the city u live in and love as a nice person, instead of a horrible one? Makes me sad
Good for this guy, doing what he wants and not caring what other people think. I hope he does well, especially since he’s doing things that are so much different than the norm.
Mike doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He truly enjoys making people happy. I wish him all the best, a Cleveland original!
Super pimp is great. Ya’ll are jealous. How can you be against such an icon of positivity? Want to improve Cleveland? Support people like Super Pimp. And quit getting hung up on the name.
Congrats! This will be the first time a bar simultaneously celebrates it’s grand opening and going out of business sale on the same day. Penny pinching to avoid paying merchant fees to accept CC’s is pure GENIUS! We all know how younger ppl carry loads of cash and never use their debit/credit cards, right? Good call. FACT#1: there will be a nat’l news story about a run on ATM’s this weekend as millions of people withdraw cash in time for The Mixx’s grand opening. FACT#2: the Grim Reaper will be in attendance visiting his next victim….this bar. FACT#3: Jim the Mall Guy has better hair than Toth.
I served with this gentlemen (SuperPimp) in the US Army and can vouch for his integrity, character and decency. While a bit of a free spirit for the Army he did well nonetheless. He was drafted into the Army as a Private E-1 and left after 4 years as a Captain in the Military Intelligence branch. I was with him in Advanced Infantry Training at Ft Polk where he graduated at the top of his class. Selected for Officer Candidate School at Ft Belvoir, he agreed to go even though it meant he’d have to serve four years instead of two. The only hit on him during this grueling training was that he had a smile problem and as a result was always in the front leaning rest position doing push-ups. That never stopped him from jumping up with a big smile on his face. When fellow members of our class starting talking about quitting, he was quick to start a banter that would always bring a smile, then a laugh and no more talk about quitting. I was the beneficiary of his way of always putting a positive spin on everything, graduated from OCS and retired from the Army many decades later as a 2-star general.
His decision to become “SuperPimp” and to now open a club doesn’t surprise me as he has always been about making people happy, even if it’s at his own expense. An honest, true and loyal friend that all of Cleveland should be proud and happy to have.
I believe this club will be successful because he never quits, on himself, his family members, his friends, and the community he loves. Those who put down this attempt would benefit greatly by spending a few minutes with him. The worst that could happen is that they would walk away with a smile on their faces.
Best of luck my friend.
Did this place go under yet?
