Update:
OK, you can go back to whatever you were doing before you dropped everything and began your search for the stolen Superman plaque — it has been returned unharmed. The PD reports someone anonymously dropped it off at a fire station and it eventually made it back to its home. (Cleveland.com)

The plaque at St. Clair and E. 105th honoring Superman creators Siegel and Shuster has been stolen by some degenerate(s). Apparently nothing is sacred in Cleveland. Especially when some numb-nut thinks he’s getting away with precious metal. Someone get resident C-town superhero Apama on the case.

  1. Dumb people! Reminds me of this:

LAKEMORE — A World War I memorial statute dedicated in 1930 was stolen here Tuesday. Thieves snapped it off its base from Lakemore Memorial Park near Akron.

Police believe thieves stole the 3-foot-high statue thinking it was bronze. The statue is a zinc alloy.

For more than 70 years the statue of a “doughboy” stood as a memorial to soldiers killed in World War I. It was the centerpiece of Memorial Day parades as well as other veteran remembrances.

The statute was broken off at the ankle from a pedestal that stands 6 feet high.

(We actually DID find our Doughboy–at the bottom of Mogadore Resevoir. He has since been repaired and placed back in the park–with better lighting and a camera)
