  1. The fickleness that’s big business in the pop culture of sports has played out with gymnast Gabby Douglas. The 2012 Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year due to her success, style and grace in the London Summer Games has been vilified on a daily basis in Rio; it shows what happens when the “social media” mob wants Cinderella and on the big stage is a great competitor who they determined has overstayed her welcome.
