Today at 2:30, Ohio Governor John Kasich will sign an executive order dealing with exotic and dangerous animals. There’s been plenty of outcry from both the public and lawmakers on the issue after the events in Zanesville.
Ohio is one of just a few states that have little or no laws on the books about owning these creatures. Kasich had previously allowed an executive order signed by Ted Strickland to expire.
Of course, the executive order won’t do much besides appease everyone who wants something — anything — done in these heated moments. Kasich basically admitted so when explaining why he allowed the order to expire. (Via the Chronicle Telegram)

Fish in a barrel Ted ? I have now lost all respect for you and will burn my 1970’s vinyl.
Listening to Ted Nugent bloviate about anything is idiocy. He’s a sadistic draft dodging fraud.
Animals are Private Property! God gave us all the right to be stewards of the animals. HE did not grant privileges to a select few to profiteer from them. You, Walt Disney, Michael Jackson, Jack Hanna, are all selfish, no good for nothing traitors. You tread on my Constitution, you tread on GOD! You are just another fart in a frying pan traitor, who wants to profiteer from the Tea Party, Americans, and any no good commie with a buck.
I think that ol’ Ted here fails to understand that the animals in question were and are NOT wild. They were captive bred and born animals raised by humans. They were NOT taken from the wild. GET IT? Good Lord! Ted… I use to like you… but now…WAAAAY down on my list of priorities to support what you do. I like how you think it is OKAY” for you to go and KILL a WILD animal.. but you think it is not okay for me to keep one in safety and out of harms way from PEOPLE LIKE YOU!
Ted…..I guess its ok to kill them just not keep them …oh…ok I get it ..DO as I say not as I do …close critters in fence so you and your friends can shoot them.Soooo when they come looking to close you down ,and they will Please call on your friends in the exotic industry to help because you know we will come running….Oh wait you burnt that bridge
WOW Ted, you should have seen my fire tonight, your vinyl looked cool burning in it. I used to like you and your music and now you disgust me. Your such a disapointment and a selfish disgrace of a man. We love and care for our exotics and you have people pay you to murder animals on your property. The way it is done is not even a sport, but thats ok, the AR groups will be coming for you soon and you can stand alone without our exotic support…
Ted is missing the point. He needs to joint the fight FOR keeping exotics because it’s the SAME fight FOR hunting. Apparently he’s just too mentally challenged to figure that out. If the hunters, farmers, fishermen and women, dog breeders, etc. would stand together, this type of legislation would not stand a chance.
Mr. Nugent, I cannot respect what you, a hunter who also owns pigs, have said about exotic animal owners. It is entirely wrong and you should know better.
