This would have been the biggest RTA news this morning except for that whole thing about an RTA driver uppercutting an unruly female passenger into oblivion and viral fame.
Let it be noted that RTA is not having its best week ever. And let it be noted that the RTA slugfest is overshadowing the fact that a teen broke into the RTA maintenance facility over on Woodhill the other night and stole a bus, taking it for a joyride all the way to E. 12th and Superior befor banging up the bus and getting caught by RTA security.

I have no idea how I missed this little gem of a story when it first came out, but glad I finally saw it now. Yes, the controls for starting the bus are so impossible and complicated that someone who sees them for the first time can figure out how to start the bus. Good thing national security isn’t handled the same way.
