Last summer's harrowing Ohio State Fair's ride malfunction left 18-year-old Jennifer Lambert with a traumatic brain injury and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical bills. Now, according
to court documents, Lambert is set to receive $1.8 million in a proposed settlement against the Fire Ball ride's operators and inspectors.
The court must officially approve the settlement before the deal is finalized.
While Ohio officials announced last month that a settlement agreement was reached with those injured last summer (seven people in all), some of the riders are still considering claims against the ride’s designer, manufacturer and supplier.
