The Cuyahoga County Justice Center was evacuated just before noon on Monday due to smoke in the lobby.

The cause of the smoke is currently unknown.

Around 1,000 people were forced to leave the building, according to 19 Action News, though most of them were already outside taking smoke breaks or belatedly looking for ScarJo on the street.

Firefighters have arrived to the scene and are investigating.

More to come as the story develops.

  1. Maybe there were just too many people outside on their smoke break at once, so it just LOOKED like there was a ton of smoke coming from the building.
