The first annual Sugardale Bacon Feast is taking place in Cleveland this weekend as part of the Fabulous Food Show, hosted at the I-X Center.

In celebration, bacon enthusiasts can enjoy a slew of bacon-themed activities at the Sugardale booth, ranging from a bacon bar, to a bacon museum, and even a bacon photo booth, though we’re not quite sure what the latter entails.

Folks can also watch Sugardale employees attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for “Most Layers in a Sandwich,” which naturally will involve copious amounts of bacon. The sandwich construction begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The fifth annual Great Sugardale BAC-On is also slated to take place on Saturday, where three finalists contend for the “Grand BAC-ON Championship” crown by preparing a bacon-themed dish in front of a live audience. The winner will receive $3,000, a year’s supply of Sugardale bacon, and the glory of making the best bacon dish in Cleveland.

  1. Please note there is no such thing as a first annual event. I believe the word you are looking for is Inaugural. You cannot have an annual event until at least the 2nd event. Who edits these articles?

  2. You can have a 1st annual if the second is already scheduled and/or planned because you know the 2nd is going to take place.

  3. There’s a Bacon Feast and people are arguing over “inaugural vs annual” ? What’s wrong with this picture?? It’s BACON people !!
