Maurice Reedus Jr., also known around these parts as The Sax Man, was arrested this month for allegedly shoplifting a pair of cheap sunglasses from a store in Tower City.
Reedus was also arrested on August 1 for contempt of court.
We’re trying to track down the exact arrest date and charge, but The Sax Man, a source said, is now banned from Tower City for life. He apparently had over $100 in his possession at the time of the incident.
A documentary on his life is due out in early 2014.

Oh no!! Hadn’t some people in the city just fought to allow him to keep playing on the street? If that’s the case, why did he ruin it for himself? No one else to blame.

Look, I know he’s a nice guy, but if you have $100 in your pocket then there is no reason to steal a pair of cheap sunglasses. Buy them. Then this whole little problem could be avoided.
The whole “it’s just a pair of sunglasses” argument is BS also, just because something isn’t valuable doesn’t mean you can steal it.
