Expect the fresh digs to look somewhat similar to the recent renovation at the Lakewood Aldi (1600 W. 117th), with its more roomy aisles and seemingly larger produce section.
During the shutdown, Cleveland Aldi shoppers may have to travel out of their way to stock up on cheap, quality groceries (or else pay more at Dave’s or Giant Eagle). Other nearby Aldi locations, besides Lakewood, include 7500 Euclid Ave. and 10815 Kinsman Rd. on the east side along with spots in Lyndhurst and North Randall. There is also a location in Brooklyn.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story said the store was closing July 8 through August 26. These dates have been corrected.
