No, this is not a repeat from last week, and no, the panther is not one of the leftover animals from the Zanesville zoo, but the AP reports that there have been reported sightings of a panther in Montgomery County and New Carlisle in Southwestern Ohio.

Just what they need.

The Springfield News-Sun says that the Sheriff, likely very aware of the backlash authorities received for killing the dozens of escaped exotic animals, is intent on capturing the panther safely, if the thing exists at all.

No lie: the last sighting had the panther “sunning itself in a hayfield” last weekend.

Good to see it’s relaxing.

  1. A beautiful vision of this majestic animal sunning itself. It will not be long before some idiot hunter to claim their prise.
