  2. I like that even though I grew up in corn country, I did spend my summers in roller coasters and boats area. I went to school where you eat sleep, and breathe Ohio State, married a guy from Godfather/rust belt and now live in the land of espresso, pasta, prosciutto, and Parmesan.

  14. So glad that they put me in the right place. I am so proud to be a “HIlliebillie” “hillbilly”. I was born in W.Va, but have lived in Ohio all my life. But I am proud of my W.Va roots and the grandmother and other myriad relatives who have lived and still live there.

  18. Took a ride from the West Side of Cleveland down to Columbus and SE Ahia a couple of weeks ago. Rode the “caboose train” from Nelsonville to Logan and back, had lunch on the Ohio River near Pomeroy, walked the campus at OSU and OU, and drove hundreds of miles of Ohio highways. The map is all too true.

    Used to go to the Carolinas a lot, but you don’t have to go that far…just leave the shores of Lake Erie and go down to the banks of the Ohio, or go across to WV…to get a good history lesson.

    Spend a little time down there in Hillbilly Country and you’ll understand a lot more about why we fought the Civil War…or as they call it…the War Between the States (AKA The War of Northern Aggression). It’s definitely a different world down there…almost like a different state…or even a different country.

  20. Godfather meets wire has to be Mahoning County….Youngstown, Ohio. Didn’t check accuracy and my geography sucks cuz I thought we were the one below…lol but, Little Chicago, Murdertown, Gangland USA, Little Itally and on and on are nicknames for Y-town due to the heavy presence of Italian Americans and the mob. The widely known phrase “Youngstown Tune Up” was coined for the rash of hundreds of car bombings through the 60’s and 70’s killing many mobsters and their associates. I could go on for hours with facts but it’s all at your finger tips to find out. You must be young Brian Finan? Ciao!

  21. I live in Youngstown Ohio and yes Youngstown or Mahoning County is where the Godfather meets the wire is at!parts of Youngstown can be pretty bad I used to live in a bad neighborhood on the west side of Youngstown I moved out now live in Struthers. I love Struthers and Boardman

  22. Hamilton County should be called Cincinnati Ghetto (NOT the South), or possibly downtown Atlanta North. I live here, and definitely would NOT recommend it..

  23. I Live with Pilots. We are a very small community. LOL But it’s true every darned thing is about Wright AFB here.
