My husband lost his mom this year. Its his birthday. We canceled our vacation when she got sick. We need to get out and do something crazy. My husband iz an amazing person he deserves a drunken weekend of music. Plus hes a HUGE METALLICA FAN.

As a millennial I have been left with no chance to grow up during a real musical movement. This means I’m required to go out of my way to intentionally look for great stuff from the past. I need good music, originality, and a way to see Metallica.
My dad would travel up to meet me there from VA for some good father daughter metallica bonding time .
Can’t think of a better reason to visit Detroit than to watch the Indians Friday and then go to this concert Saturday and Sunday. I love concert festivals like this, so I hope to be able to check this one out relatively close to home. Thanks!
I have a Best Friend who has pulled me out of the lowest of Low this past two years. I would not be here today if it wasn’t for him. I would love the chance to take him to this. Metallica is his all time favorite band ever… He deserves so much. He deserves a night ouit, he never goes out anywhere. I would love to give this to him. I’d love to take my Dad as an early Father’s Day and birthday present. He’s the coolest Dad around of whom has been a Metallica fan since the early 80s. How cool of a Dad is that? PLUS I am already downtown, I work and live here 🙂 so I wouldn’t be mad seeing those early morning “I hate traffic” faces.

I have never gotten the opportunity to attend a music festival, it has been one of my dreams for a long time now. The past 6 months I have taken leave from my life to be a care giver for my mother who was diagnosed 6 months ago with small cell lung cancer. She has been going through not only chemo but double doses of radiation. She just finished preventative radiation and is now finished for the time being. These past few months have been ridiculously hard but its all worth it to have my mom around. This opportunity would not only make my year….but it would make my moms also. I hope we can attend this and have a time we will never forget.
I’ve always wanted to see the red hot chili peppers the one time I had tickets I had to go to the hospital and had to miss the show. And could not even sell the tickets was very very dissapointed and i have always i mean always wantes to see matalica in concert so it would be awsome if i could see them both !!!!!!
Because Metallica and the Chili Peppers are really the only reason to go to Detroit these days

A couple of years ago I won a Red Hot Chili Peppers’ CD from Scene but had to work 6 days a week for (10-12 hour days).By the time I had a day off and got to your office the CD was given away or lost, so for my sob story how about giving me those tickets…besides I have liked Metallica since high school 20 some years ago
I will be a daddy in November and so it would be an awesome happening to enjoy the quietness of a rock music festival before our ears will (proudly) suffer from baby shouting 🙂

I’ve always wanted to see Metallica live. I’ve heard they are phenomenal, but they never seem to come to Cleveland. It’s my 30th birthday next week and this would be an awesome present!
Becoming recently unemployed during the summer festival season is heartbreaking. This would allow me a great opportunity to experience some amazing live bands like Gogol Bordello and Japandroids without stressing the wallet…and a chance to hold a competition between my friends to determine which is the most deserving to be my festival companion.
