On this episode of Two Girls With Glasses, Brandi McElhatten and Nikki Delamotte chat up the co-owners of the new Canopy Collective in the former BuckBuck art gallery space (3910 Lorain Ave., 216-309-1090, canopy-collective.com), Erika Durham and Anthony Koch. The space combines multi-purpose studios for artists as wide-ranging as photographers, toymakers and poets, events and classes and a front retail space.
Durham and Koch talk about their background that led to the store’s May opening and the events they’ve hosted in their space since, including a screening of Turnstyle Films’ documentary Draw Hard, PenPal Social Club, tango lessons and yoga.
They also discuss some of the upcoming events to look out for, such as a mini indie film fest, literature readings, painting classes and a Father’s Day market.
As always, follow along with Two Girls With Glasses on Facebook.
