In this week’s awful news, we have a troubling story of a Canton pizza delivery driver who was kidnapped, robbed, and raped as she made her delivery rounds on Monday evening.

Reports say a female pizza delivery person was robbed at gunpoint by two men, then placed in the trunk of her delivery vehicle and driven around by the suspects.

The vehicle then stopped near a wooded area, where the victim was raped and abandoned.

Police have arrested two people in connection with the heinous crime: 20-year-old Jeremy Joseph and a 16-year-old minor.

Both suspects are charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and rape.

  1. Where was the location of the crime and is it considered by police a high-crime area? For the latter, any company with a food delivery service should consider tangible crime statistics over making a few quick bucks in spots where employees are at-risk of being robbed/assaulted.

  2. most food delivery places don’t check that information, where i work if you know it’s high crime you just refuse the order, or say you won’t take the delivery. i always have to know beforehand.
