Update II:
Five people have been arrested in connection with the slaying of popular local bar owner Jim Brennan, who was shot at his Cleveland Heights establishment, Brennan’s Colony and Tavern, earlier this week. He died from his injuries on Monday at MetroHealth Hospital.
Cleveland.com reports that five people have been arrested, between the ages of 20 and 23, who either have “information and/or are believed to be involved” in the fatal shooting.
Names have not been released, and charges have not yet been filed, but both will likely happen in the next few days.
Police said Brennan was shot when two people broke into his Lee Rd. restaurant on Monday, likely searching for cash.
Clevelanders east to west have been mourning his loss this week, with hundreds gathering for a vigil on Tuesday night, while area business owners pooled money to create a $25,000 reward for information on Brennan’s killers.
While police do have five suspects in custody, anyone with additional information is asked to contact Cleveland Heights police at (216) 291-4987.

The owner of the popular Cleveland Heights bar Brennan’s Colony and Tavern was shot earlier this afternoon during an alleged robbery, and has been taken to MetroHealth Hospital.
Details are fairly scarce, though Fox 8 reports two people entered the bar, located on Lee Rd. and Silsby Rd., declared there was a hold-up, and took Jim Brennan to the basement where he was shot.
Police are currently searching for suspects, and details on Brennan’s condition have not been released.

So the model citizen, a leader in his community and a business owner, is gunned down while trying to work hard and make a living for himself and his family. All this because some lazy f***s wanted easy money and couldn’t trouble themselves to actually earn it legally. Catch these f***ers and send them on a manned mission into the sun. It’ll be cheaper than keeping them around for 70 years in jail, and hey, it’s for science.
Can the city of ch stop section 8 legally?
If I were a shop owner I would get a firearm, training and practice, and a carry permit. Then, I would post one of those NRA decals or stickers saying premises protected by Smith&Wesson. Criminals much less likely to strike if they know or suspect the owner is armed.

No. What needs to happen is this:
1) Stop raising your children with no coping skills and with a sense of entitlement. There’s no doubt whoever these asses are that did this were brought up in poverty and supported by both a welfare system and a society, in general, that calls everyone not “winning” a victim. People raised to be that way feel that someone who HAS doesn’t deserve it….and usually has not one bit of a work ethic….START RAISING YOUR CHILDREN WITH MORALS!!!
2) Section 8 needs to be gone in municipalities that want to change the direction they are going. It’s the only reason Cleveland is so damn hit and miss and not able to pick it self up. You can see that Cleveland COULD be on the verge of something good but it’s hard to deny that no matter where you go in Cleveland you are no more than three blocks from some shitty thug neighborhood where those aforementioned folks are spawning……

No, the real, much deeper answer is birth control. Stop the reproduction of children growing up with no hope, no home training, values, or respect for life, because they don’t have one. They join gangs for identity, and family that they don’t have at home. Statistical data analysis needs to be a vital part of every community to identify these problems that are sure to become manifest early on. Hire researchers when developing and planning for your community that can spot these area of importance and form task force to curb over population that is breeding these problems.

Tamika, that isn’t the answer is it? Think about how flawed our judicial system is to begin with let alone how stupid everyone is in general. I bet if the news started showing video footage of a man in cuffs and saying he is the suspected shooter in this case, most people would associate him IMMEDIATELY with the murder and direct all their emotion on the topic to that same man…..with zero evidence. Cause, honestly, that’s how idiotic 95% of the population is….if not worse. Due process is there to help minimize the stupid….which still doesn’t work but at least it helps more than hurts.
I knew the Turner brothers personally, they use to call me aunty until one of them (Paul Turner) assaulted my daughter when she was only 11 years old…they were like nephews but after that situation occured, we had nothing else to do with them but see them in court for what happened to my daughter. I should have known then that they were gonna turn out to be misfits in society…especially with who their parents are….they need to be terminated..all of them so that we can have the oxygen that they and the other rejects are using….
