“Robin Hood is not the Robin Hood anymore!”

“They keep remodeling and changing the name of the place.”

Oh, how some things never really do change. That’s a snippet of dialogue from two dudes rollin’ around Kent in 1980, revisiting their alma mater. The video (embedded below) is a terrific look into our past and into the progress of America.

They lament gas prices, new road construction, the lack of active protestors, and everything else that’s different from the Kent in their memories.

For anyone who’s ever lived in – or even driven through – Kent, this is a pretty great trip.

  1. Downtown Kent is pretty awesome today. Lots of new construction and locally owned and operated businesses that seem to be thriving.

  2. Well, that was pretty boring. I was hoping they’d go into the part of Downtown Kent that has been torn down and completely rebuilt as I can’t remember what all was there anymore, but they didn’t.
