As they have for years, a small group of protesters demonstrated outside of Progressive Field yesterday against the racist red Sambo otherwise known as Chief Wahoo. And as they have for years, many Tribe fans reacted by verbally attacking them with taunts like “Go home, get a job” and making drunken mock Native American whooping noises. Just a lovely human response. Cleveland.com’s Mark Naymik caught some of the unbelievably offensive reactions in the video below.

It’s one thing to want to keep the Chief (as I do), and maybe wear a red-T-shirt with a Wahoo big enough to cover the whole front of your body (I still have mine, from 1994)…but it’s another thing entirely to act like an obnoxious a-hole (too many beers is not an excuse) and make Cleveland look like Little Rock or Birmingham or Mississippi…or even Brooklyn and Chicago.

    These buffoons and assclowns do the same thing every year, and have done it for decades now, and they do this city no favors with their boorish behavior.

    The world already has plenty of real reasons (and imaginary excuses) to laugh at and pity Cleveland. Every year, these jamokes give them yet another one. Anyone who thinks this Wahoo crap isn’t seen worldwide has their head up their wazoo.

    But hey, Agent Orange won a week after the Cubs did, so I guess this behavior is okay now, isn’t it? Yeah, right. Extremely right. It’s really okay to act like an ignorant Trumpian slob. Thanks for nothing, boys.

  4. These “”loyal” fans probably scampered back home when the temperature dropped to a “frigid” 55 degrees. Actually, the video should be plopped onto the desk of Paul Dolan….to begin a lengthy interview on the logo, nickname, uniform topic.

  5. But it’s ok to harass paying customers as they enter a ballgame? So the protestors can excercise free speech but the others can’t? Just want to get this clear. Guess what? People will ALWAYS wear the logo. You will never win. It will always be around. So you lose!!! 30,000 plus wearing wahoo gear and 12 protestors. But yea lets give into the people who are hurt over a logo.

  7. If the Dolans cave in under the PC ass pirates and remove Chief Wahoo completely, I urge every true Indians fan to BOYCOTT everything Cleveland Indians related as well as NOT going to any games. They have no idea what a real protest is! Instead of 10 Snowflakes standing outside the stadium with bullhorns, it will be THOUSANDS of life long Indians and Wahoo fans protesting and BOYCOTTING both the Dolans and the Indians if Wahoo is taken away completely…….I would tread VERY carefully if I were Larry and Paul Dolan. Rob Manfred does not own the Cleveland Indians, the liberal media outlets like Disney/ABC/ESPN/CBS does not own the Cleveland Indians. It’s the Dolans that will be the ONLY ones hit the hardest financially if Wahoo is taken away! Stand your ground against these piece of shit liberals who constantly want to tell you how to live your lives and what to do with the things you own! PUT A STOP TO LIBERALS NOW!!!’
