This one courtesy of TMZ Sports, folks: An Indians fan uncorked a thunderous right hook in the streets of Cleveland last night, knocking this Cubs fan out cold.

Despicable behavior.

Here’s a little more background on the garbage, again from TMZ. The Cubs fan was reportedly hospitalized.

We spoke with Chris Vallimont … who says he pulled out his phone and started to record after he saw the two men cussing at each other right outside Progressive Field.

“The Cubs fan said, ‘You guys just blew a 3-1 lead, f**k you.’”

The Indians fan shot back, “Fight me, p****.”

The Cubs fan replied, “Hit me now, I dare you.”

The Indians fan accepted the challenge and blasted the Cubs fan in the face — and then immediately fled from the scene while the Cubs fan laid on the ground unconscious … so says Vallimont.

“He probably didn’t move for about 12 minutes.”

  2. It’s one thing to come to the game as a Cubs fan, it’s another to come and talk shit. If you talk shit, you might find yourself in trouble with some inebriated fans.

  4. I Dont condone this, but there was an overwhelming amount of asshole Cub fans at these games. Challenging and provoking Indians fans in our home. Obviously they proved by their actions that they haven’t had success for 108 years. Respect the house you are just company!

  6. There was also an out-of-town Cleveland fan who was reportedly KO’d and robbed while walking back to his downtown hotel after Game Six.

    And yes, I’m sure there were a lot of rich entitled yupster Chicagoans here. They travel all over the country. Booze and fanaticism are a bad mix. And yes, they ARE more obnoxious than Tribe fans. I’ve lived in both cities, and I was there for their pennant clinch against the Dodgers, and it’s why I wouldn’t go back for the Series…didn’t need the craziness and the abuse from the young, drunk, and stupid..

    But overall, drunken Cub fans are just about the same degree of obnoxiousness as drunken Tribe fans who want to act like Browns fans in the Muni lot. An a-hole is an a-hole. City of origin and jersey logo make no difference,

    And this is a heads-up for all you NE Ahia keyboard warriors who justify this shit and say “Don’t provoke us…don’t talk shit in our house….shut your trap…it’s Cleveland…he deserved it…don’t fuck around…our streets are real…yadda yadda yadda and blah blah blah”…well, you’re all assholes, too…and you’re living in a bubble.

    Better practice what you preach when you go on the road. You might not get clocked in elitist North Side Wrigleyville, but pull the same shit this clown pulled… in any other part of Chicago and certain suburbs, especially on the South Side, and you’ll get eaten for lunch and spit out onto the sidewalk, and then shipped home with your ass on a plate..

  13. This is not news or newsworthy. Its also not cool showing some idiot getting knocked out by some other idiot. This is just dumb reporting.

  14. No, it’s not cool…and this video could easily have been evidence in a trial, and also been a huge black eye for Cleveland if the guy had been made a vegetable or killed.

    Similar thing took place in Chicago, outside some bar or club. A drunken guy died because he fell backward and cracked his skull on the pavement. The guy who clocked him walked, after a lot of delays and legal shenanigans. When you’re facing a manslaughter rap, it helps to be the mayor’s nephew.

    Nobody in Chicago batted an eyelash. White drunk (mayor’s nephew) clobbers another white drunk (who ends up dead). White thug does the same thing to a black kid outside the White Sox ball park, and THAT incident was a huge story in Chicago, and all over the country, and a hate crime, too. This town is lucky it didn’t happen again–right here. We don’t need that kind of ink.
