An Ohio State Trooper is under fire after allegedly ramming his cruiser into the back of a motorcycle and sending a local couple to the hospital with grave injuries.
Newly released dash-cam footage shows the terrifying moment when 2012 State Trooper of the Year, Jacob Daymon, crashes into the motorbike of Beavercreek, OH couple Amy and Corey Waldman. The two riders are thrown onto the hood of Daymon’s car before hitting pavement on the night of the Aug. 17 accident.
The creepiest part of this video is that Daymon doesn’t slow down or swerve to avoid the collision. He maintains that he did not see the couple before impact.
The footage has only just been released as a grand jury decides whether the trooper involved should face charges.
Directly after the accident, Daymon backed up several yards and used his cruiser to block traffic. The Waldmans were then taken to Miami Valley Hospital were they remain today, still recovering from their injuries.
In an interview with WDTN, the Waldmans attributed wearing helmets to saving their lives. They also said that they have forgiven Daymon for the accident.
However, a relative of the Waldmans told WDTV that the couple is still not doing well. Corey just went through another round of X-Rays and Amy is suffering from a concussion.
Here is a round of semi-graphic photos from during and after the accident. All photos are courtesy of WDTN.
State Trooper Jacob Daymon approaches the motorcycle from behind.
Moments after the crash, Daymon exits his vehicle and asks the couple if they are all right.
The couple is taken to Miami Valley hospital where they are still recovering from their injuries, nearly a month after the accident.
Corey Waldman has undergone a whole slew of X-rays since the collision. Since he was driving the motorcycle, his injuries are not quite so severe.
Amy Waldman was riding behind her husband and was hit full force by the cruiser. She is recovering from a concussion.

prayers for both of you!
Bet he was texting or using his in-car computer while driving.
He clearly was not even looking at the road. He should be charged and give him a desk job or discharge him.
Fire the trooper – criminal and civil charges should be filed against him and the Ohio State Patrol who hired him! This guy obviously was not in control of his patrol car, was not paying attention to what was in front of him and at first kept on going rather than slowing down right away. When he finally backs up at a good clip, he’s not very careful – and then once he’s back at the scene of the accident, asks the couple if they are okay? Come on get real – this trooper was more concerned about his job than the couple he ran down!

Ok so it’s clear as day what happened and the charges should be easy to make, guilty!
Get well to both of you…it is obvious that he was not paying attention to what he was doing..how could you not see that bike…….god bless and speedy recovery…hopefully justice will be served.
