Chicago Historian Jeff Nichols, who can be found tweeting out vintage photos and videos from around the world right here, recently shared some gloriously-shot footage from a paved bike trail ribbon cutting ceremony at Rocky River Reservation from what looks to be at least 50 years ago.

You’ll notice, of course, that no one is wearing a helmet or any other sort of safety gear. But people did bring along their kids and dogs.
