  1. The marketplace spoke loudly when it was revealed for all to see the velvet knee pads that editors, columnists and reporters wore when entering the throne room of King Jimmy and Prince Russo. The PD suits can gleefully smack their hands and smile into a camera concerning the number of “visits” on the website due to another gossip column concerning a local sports franchise, but it does not hide the shoddy journalism and junk features that read as if pulled from the cutting-room floor of a public-access channel.

  2. I’d love to see Scene develop a weekly column focused on nothing but critiquing the shallow vapidness that has become the Plain Dealer. It would be a must read!

  3. Yanno, the PD has some terrific reporters but man, the editors — holy cow. I can’t tell if they are HUGELY biased, or negligent, or forgetful or what.

I also like the idea of a weekly “What’s Going On at the PD?” column here at the Scene.

  4. I enjoy Scene because I don’t feel like it has an agenda, everything is raw and minimally filtered. I prefer things to be reported on because they are significant or interesting, not because of some behind closed doors meeting or agreement.
