You don’t have to be a noble to appreciate what will transpire this Saturday at Winks Bar and Grille in the Galleria. The restaurant’s transformation to medieval times marks the exclusive launch party for Brewery Ommegang’s new Fire and Blood Red Ale, a beer inspired by HBO’s Game of Thrones and character Daenerys Targaryen’s three dragons. “Ommegang and HBO are only doing twelve of these events nationally and this is the only one in Ohio,” says Matt Rhodes, Market Manager, Brewery Ommegang.

The sold-out event will be themed “medieval feast” complete with plenty of period inspired grub — “We are going all out for this” explains John Lane, co-owner of Winks. “We will have a 30-foot buffet complete with a 100-pound pig, giant turkey legs, and all kind of medieval-style food.”

Each of the 200 lucky ticket holders receives a Game of Thrones commemorative glass, pours of both Fire and Blood Red Ale and Take the Black Stout, and a bottle of Fire and Blood Red Ale signed by Ommegang brewmaster Phil Leinhart.

For those beer lovers who are not able to go, Fire and Blood Red Ale will be available March 31 at a variety of retailers.
